Monitoring and Evaluation

SAMP has designed an M&E framework which is aiming to be compliant with DCED (Donor Committee for Enterprise Development). Details of this approach can be found on the DCED website www.enterprise-development.org. The DCED Standard provides a practical framework, whereby programmes can measure their own results according to good practice. The Standard builds on the results chain, or logic, of the individual programme. By using a range of ‘nested’ Results Chains, which lay out in detail the expected chain of changes, it is anticipated that this will enhance SAMP to document ‘change’ at various levels of the different work streams (see SAMP M&E Guidelines). More details on how Seeds and Markets Project (SAMP) is working to integrate the different elements of the Standard in it’s results measurement system can be accessed at http://www.enterprise-development.org/page/measuring-and-reporting-results
